Kanye West’s New ‘Yeezus 2020’ Campaign Ad
Kanye West‘s Political Action Committee (PAC) has launched a new ad for Yeezy’s 2020 campaign for president and a call to action for fans and supporters.
The committee, which was formed by a fan after Kanye’s MTV Video Music Awards Vanguard speech that turned into a campaign announcement, now has a website Yeezus2020.com, a YouTube page and a new ad pumping up its candidate.
The latest video, uploaded on Monday (Sept. 4) borrows images from his “Only One” video, a song that features Paul McCartney. Again, there is a voice-over of West, chopped from his BET Awards Visionary Award speech that called for people to look past race and also challenge society to raise its expectations for black youth.
Kanye West’s campaign for the 2020 election took an important step this week with the rolling out of two campaign ads from a Yeezus 2020 Super Pac.
The rapper/husband of Kim Kardashian West announced he was running for president during the Video Music Awards earlier this month. “We gonna teach our kids to stand up for their self. We’re going to teach our kids to believe in themselves. If my grandfather was here right now he would not let me back down … ” West said. “And yes, as you probably could’ve guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president.”
