Watch R. Kelly Walk Out Of His Interview With #HuffPostLive After Facing Questions About Sexual Abuse Allegations
The 48-year-old made an appearance on Huff Post Live for a Q&A during which the show’s host took questions from Twitter. R. Kelly later walked out of Huff Post Live interview after old rape allegations tweets started appearing.
The interview continued with Kelly growing visibly uncomfortable — “I say f**k that,” he responded to both that tweet and fans who say it’s hard to divorce the man from the art — before eventually walking out. “I’m not perfect,” he added, “but I’m perfectly me.”
“I don’t hear it from anyone else,” he said. “You hear a few moments here and there. I would say fuck that. I’m a man that believes what I see and everywhere I go from malls to restaurants, to tours and sold out tours overseas and back. Everywhere I’ve been, I get nothing but love. Unless all those people are tricking me and acting when they see me coming or in concert that somebody’s behind me with a sign that says ‘scream we love you.’ Unless that sign is held up, I’m gonna believe what I see.”
