Rapper Troy Ave Shot, Friend “Banga” Killed During T.I. Irving Plaza Concert Shooting

Troy Ave associate “Banga” was killed and four others were wounded (including New York rapper Troy Ave who was shot in the leg) Wednesday night during a T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in Union Square.

A 33 year old man was killed and three others were wounded in a shooting at T.I. concert at Irving Plaza in Manhattan, New York on the night of Wednesday May 25, 2016. The victims included three men and one woman. The club was filled with about 1,000 people before the shooting.

One of the male victims of the shooting was rapper Troy Ave, who was shot in the leg during the concert, and is currently being treated in a hospital.

During the concert there were two fights one backstage that spilled onto the stage and another on the floor of the club. Concert goers heard four shots after a few seconds after the second fight.

The shooting happened in a third-floor green room of the building at 10:15 pm before T.I. started his performance. The shooting happened while rappers Maino and Uncle Murda were on stage.

Three people, two of whom were initially listed in critical condition, were taken by ambulance to Beth Israel hospital, officials said. A fourth victim walked into NYU Langone Medical Center.

The motive for the shootings was unclear, and police are currently searching for the shooter.
